Angel/Survivor, Some Thoughts on War, and commiserating with Tess

***Angel***
It fascinates me how one week I can be on the edge of my seat with Angel and the next minute I can be bored with it again. This episode lost some of the great pacing that was set forth in last weeks episode. The best part of the whole thing is how SKIP our previously magnanimous demon...into the evil demonic underling that he looks like. Previously SKIP was thought to have been Cordelia's guide to the ascension to becoming a higher being. We even saw Cordy as a disembodied head...all white and glowy and floaty...now we find out that evil CORDY is Cordy...and SKIP let it slip while Angel was beating the crap out of him that Cordy in there somewhere...hmmm...interesting. So does anyone else think that Cordy was disensouled much like angel was...his soul was all white and glowy too. I am really really sick of conner by the way. Now I think it is ridiculous that Cordy and his baby is a full grown human that is beautiful. It is obvious by the previous that the premise is everyone except FRED is taken in by the beauty of ultimate evil. Oy.

A side note: I was driving to work this morning and I thought to my self...William "Spike" The Bloody speaks with an English accent. He was made a vampire when he was in England. Now because of this...wouldn't Angel have an Irish accent since he was made a vampire in Ireland? Just a though.

***Survivor***
I am ready for ROB to go. At first he was cute and kinda funny...now he is just an evil backstabbing whiner and I am sick of him. This being said...I was very sad to see Dave go. My little rocket scientist was HOT...at least he made it to the jury so I will get to see him for the rest of the season. I am so ready for "twigs and sticks" to go. I think that they are the ultimate evil. It is going to be the women over the men...because they are too busy thinking with their crotches...and not their brains. Since the merge I was sure we wouldn't have to see Twigs and Sticks bathing together anymore...boy was I wrong. I have never seen anyone scrub so hard nor have I ever needed someone to help me wash any part of me since I was like three and in danger of possibly drowning in the tub. I can see going down to wash in numbers...it is the wild amazon...however do you need to make bathing dirty...I mean really. This survivor is my least favorite of all of them so far.

***War***
I don't think the media (and right now I am blaming CNN and MSNBC and the pentagon because I heard just now it is their program) should have the war on 24/7...nor do I think that there should be live reports from embedded reporters while in the heat of battle. It is in extreme poor taste. How would you feel if a reporter distracted your loved one in the heat of battle and caused him or someone else in his unit to get hurt...what they do out there in the desert is life and death...and it shouldn't be live on tv.

***Tess***
I hear ya sister.

Canadian Snowballs

Tess isn't going to let me get by with the off-handed comment I made here about nicknames. I told her that my brother...years and years ago called me Canadian Snowballs. Well...here is how it came to be. I developed early. I was wearing a bra by sixth grade. It embarassed me immensely at the time. My brother...four years younger and loving to torment me in any fashion he could...was eating some Hostess Snowballs (you know...those luscious marshmello/coconut covered snack cakes that were all the rage in the eighties) and came barging into my room unannounced...the way little brothers often do. I happened to be getting dressed and he saw me there in my bra and started giggling...and said "Those are canadian snowballs" and I got furious. Of course this is exactly what he wanted and tormeneted me with it for years after. Now he gets his little digs in by calling me Frodo because I am short or Calamity Amy because of my recent vehicular misfortunes...and this is where Canadian Snowballs comes from.

Oh and by the way

I have thought of something else...I dyed my hair. It has been like a year since I had died it...it is a reddish color with highlights...I think it looks good.

Once more...with feeling

From the Once more with feeling of Buffy the Vampire Slayer I present to you "I've Got A Theory/Bunnies/If We're Together"

Giles:
I've got a theory
That it's a demon
A dancing demon - nah, something isn't right there
Willow:
I've got a theory
some kid is dreamin'
and we're all stuck inside his wacky broadway nightmare
Xander:
I've got a theory
We should work this out.
Willow/Anya/Tara:
It's getting eerie
What's this cheery singing all about?
Xander:
It could be witches
some evil witches
wich is ridiculous 'cause witches they were persecuted wicca good and love the earth and woman power and I'll be over here.
Anya:
I've got a theory
It could be bunnies
Tara:
I've got a---
Anya:
Bunnies aren't cute like everybody supposes
They got them hoppy legs and twitchy little noses
and what's with all the carrots
what do they need such good eyesight for anyway?
Bunnies, bunnies, it must be bunnies.
Or maybe midgets.
Willow:
I've got a theory
We should work this fast
Giles/Willow:
Because it clearly could get serious before it's passed
Buffy:
I've got a theory
It doesn't matter
What can't we face if we're together.
What's in this place that we can't weather
Apocalypse
We've all been there
The same old trips
Why should we care
Group:
What can't we do if we get in it
We'll work it through within a minute
We have to try
We'll pay the price
It's do or die
Buffy:
Hey I've died twice.
Group:
what can't we face if we're together
Giles:
What can't we face
Group:
What's in this place that we can't weather
Giles:
If we're together
Group:
There's nothing we can't face
Anya:
Except for bunnies...

Wednesday

Ok...I am sitting here at work with a headache. pound pound pound. I think I am going to have to surrender and take something. It might have something to do with the fact that there is the florescent light bulb that has been flickering all day...I guess it is going out.
***TV Update***
I am greatly looking forward to watching Angel tonight. Hmmm...I wonder what will happen. It looks like Survivor has moved back to thursday...it's original night. So you all will have to wait until friday for the tv review.
***Bus Accident Update***
I am not out of the loop in regards to the bus accident. My father got tired of me getting the run around and decided that he needed to take charge. The truck is being fixed. As a matter of fact, it might even be done today. The bus company is now deciding to contest it. I'd actually like to see them try because we have the 12 foot sign that flew off the bus sitting in the garage. Hmmm...interesting.
***Rav Accident Update***
The Rav is all fixed and everything but now they are telling me that they won't reimburse me for the stupid rental car. It isn't even like they have to pay for the whole thing...my insurance pays for 80% of the rental car...so I am just asking his insurance to reimburse me my 20%.
***Cool thing I found***
I was in Hallmark buying some cards and as I went to check out the clerk asked me if I had seen the card butterflies. I said no...so she showed me one. They are these little paper and wire things that are shaped like butterflies with a rubber band in the middle. You wind them up 45 times and then set them in the card and when the person opens the card the butterfly flys out and around the room. It was really cool and me being a sucker...bought two. We'll see how they go over closer to easter. I only bought one to test it out.
***Roxy***
Last night roxy found a huge cardboard tube. She ran around with it in her mouth like a cigar for hours. She then took great joy in tearing it to bits. She had so much fun tearing it apart that I didn't mind picking it all up.

Dear God...I am pregnant!!!

April fools. Ok...so that might have been funny...had I actually been good at April Fools jokes. I am not. Although I am a sucker for them most of the time. Let us just say that there is absolutely no way that I am...so don't worry.

The Check Debacle was fixed. I went to a different branch (my home branch) of WAMU and they took my check on Saturday. So that was great. They usually take our checks early...so I don't know if it was just because I didn't go to my home branch (although the branch I went to was closer to work)...or what...but fear not all...I got my money on Saturday.

Speaking of the three day weekend...I couldn't have ordered better weather for it myself. It was nice and warm and toasty. Too warm to wash the Rav though because it would have water spotted from the sun. I am sure that state employees were the only ones who got the day off though...I am sure of it...we got mail...banks were open. Everyone had to work except me. This being said...I didn't get a darn thing done that I wanted to get done. It was a real pity unfortunately....but the day was good anyway.
