Funny- My Way

Someone, who's intials are ETS posted about funny. Well here is my funny:

Funny is pulling up right in front of the doors to the office of a local country music radio station, blaring (and I mean blaring!) Slaughter. Even more funny is sitting there in front of said radio station...howling along with said cd while gathering ones belonging...then turning off the car...opening the door and going inside and saying:

Yes...Kristen left me two autographed Tim McGraw cds to be picked up.

Now that IS funny.

What is your funny?

Celebrity Mole

Ok...I am into cheesy reality TV...and right now I am into watching Celebrity Mole. Right now...after episode one I think the mole is either Corbin Berson or Dennis Rodman or Angie Everhart. I have no real basis right now...just a gut feeling.

Now I am onto the Apprentice. This one should prove to be very interesting and it is made by the Mark Burnett of Survivor...so it should be an interesting show. I will let you know what I decide tomorrow.

Apprentice Update:

I must say I am fascinated. I almost wish Protege corp had failed because I really think that the one lady...I think her name is Tammy...has got to go. She irritates the heck out of me.

Have you see that new milk commercial?

The one where there are two kids at a table and the Mom tells the kids to drink the milk that it is good for your bones. The kids reply that neighbor so-and-so never drank milk and he is doing fine...and they look out the window and he is lifting up a wheelbarrow and then in the process his arms fall off?

Does anyone else find this commercial disturbing??? I mean I understand the point and everything but aren't you worried that children will think that if they don't drink milk their appendages will fall off? It is disturbing to me...now where is that glass of milk?

Freezing my tushy off

Since returning to work...I have been freezing my tushy off the whole time I spend sitting here. Boss finally agreed today that it was cold and put a workorder in to have our facilities department take a look. They rendered some heating component in the system broken...and have told us to expect to be freezing through friday...

by then...icicles might start forming.

BURR!

The Best of the Best

Here is my top 10 list of the 2003 holiday season:

1. Best Christmas Card Received: tie between the one from BFM and the one from Paul.

2. Best Present or Gift Received: Egads...I received so many good gifts but the best ones are (in no particular order): My Blog Ornament Exchange Ornament from ChastityCat, My book from ETS, The cool makeup from BFM as well as the much needed new purse and wallet, the pink pen from SIL...a very unique cd case from Marilyn...the list could go on and on...seriously.

3. Most Needed Gift Received: Husky Mats for my Rav4 (from my parents) and the new purse from BFM.

4. Gift you gave yourself: Chains for the Rav...out of necessity not because I wanted them....because I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get home from Vegas without them!!!!

5. Best Food Item Consumed: That would be the barbecued turkey we had on Christmas Eve.

6. Most expensive food item consumed: Urg...the drink I had on new years eve at Kahunaville at Treasure Island...it cost more than my entree...I learned my lesson...never order a drink from a drink menu without prices!!!

7. Best thing about the holiday:Spending time with Family and BFM.

8. Worst thing about the holiday: Driving in snow for the first time and talking 15 hours to get to Vegas from home.

9. Best Movie Seen during the holiday: Cheaper by the Dozen...BFM's little brother laughed so hard he cried and nearly choked on popcorn...at the same time.

and 10. One Thing You are looking Forward to This year: I dunno...but I can tell you I am NOT looking forward to Jan 14th.

Feel free to play along...and leave me a comment so I can check out your top 10.

2003/2004

Well on December 26th at 9:30 in the morning I set out for Vegas. After learning that my usual route (101 ->46 ->99 ->58 ->15) was closed due to snow on the 58 late night December 25th...I decided to wait until the 27th...to see what happened....but then at 8:30 am I got a phone call from BFM telling me that we had plans on the 27th and they would need to be cancelled if I didn't want to leave that day...so I quickly showered and left...at 9:30 am...deciding to go through San Fernando Valley (101 -> 46 ->5 ->210->15) instead...hopefully avoiding snow. I was relieved to find the grapevine was clear of snow...and thought when I reached Barstow at 6:00 pm...that I was home free and would be in Las Vegas no later than 9:00. It was cold...but clear. I stopped in Baker for Gas and a quick pee break...and tried to call BFM to tell her that I didn't like driving through the desert at nigh...it was far to dark out there for my tastes. Then I got back on the 15 into bumper to bumper traffic. Deciding to see what was causing the delay I turned my radio to the mojave highway radio station...only to quickly learn that the only thing between me and Las Vegas was SNOW. Something I don't like and have no experience driving in at ALL. I was freaked out. I couldn't really turn around and go back to Baker...but I had no chains or anything. I called home for advice and got yelled at because their advice to me when I was in Barstow was to stay there for the night (this was before I knew it was snowing in Moutain Pass). BFM called me to ask me where I was...and I answered I am unsure because I can't see anything because of SNOW...she freaked out...needless to say at 11:00 I pulled into their driveway...That is right...it took me five hours from Barstow to Vegas...because of SNOW! Now it was probably considered light snow....but I was too heavy for me....

The first thing that Misty tells me when I get there and unpacked....is "I hate to tell you this but you need to pack some clothes because we are leaving at 7:00 tomorrow morning....and we won't be back for awhile. Yikes....I was given no clues...so I packed a different bag and went to bed. The next morning we got in her car and travelled back the way I had come...a surprise...expenses paid trip to Knotts Berry Farm....for a very early birthday present since she would be working during my normal birthday and unable to visit me...having just started her job. It was sooo much fun. I haven't been to Knotts since 1984!!!! hehehehe.

Then we went back to Vegas...and I stayed the night with her...where it proceeded to snow again!!! My camera was outta commission but it snowed in Vegas...I swear it did :)

New Years Eve we dressed up in our fancy clothes and went to an expensive stip dinner where I paid more for my drink than my meal...then rang in the New Year on the strip...where we both decided that we are "told old for that shit." and watched the fireworks. Then we crashed at our hotel (Misty got a killer rate at the Mirage...someplace we had always wanted to stay) because if you don't have a key to a hotel in your hand...you can't get into any of the casinos from 10 pm to 2:00 am...so she got us a great room at the Mirage with a strip view (my new motto is no more advanced planning!!!).

Then I spent the 2nd of January trying to find chains for my car...Checkers and AutoZone didn't have any...I finally found some at Pepboys...as long with a very helpful man who told me how to put them on and which ones to get. Then I drove home on the third....so that was my new year in a short post.
