A Post of Three Weekends

I decided to tell you what I did the last two weekends...because...well...I can.

Valentine's Day Weekend I won't lie...even though I have no boyfriend or betrothed...I still got flowers (roses...from my dad) and candy (chocolate from my brother)...I wasn't about to give it back- so I guess I can't complain about Valentines Day. I decided to go see a movie. I saw 50 First Dates. Now I must tell you that I love Adam Sandler and Rob Schneider...so I was no surprise that I loved the movie. I don't want to give much away...just incase you are compelled to see it...but I will tell you that I thought that the walrus stole the whole movie.

Last Weekend Picture if you will Saturday February 28th...Amy is having a problem locating her purse. She looks everywhere at home...and in her car. She is upset and thinks she may have left it at work. She goes to work...but there is no one there. She thinks she remembers her alarm code for the building..so she uses her access card to get in the building...where as the alarm starts to beep wildly and request an access code. She imputs what she thinks is her six digit code. INVALID...she does this for several seconds. She decides to instead try a different combination of the same numbers. Positive that is it one of the two combinations. INVALID. She keeps going through different combos until the alarm says FAILED...REPORTING. SHIT- this can't be good. She attempt to call the campus police to inform them. But their oncampus office is closed for the weekend. DOUBLE SHIT. She then attempts to locate the number for off-hours police dispatch. After several minutes she finally locates the off-campus non emergency number for the dispatch...she calls them and tells the nice lady that she accidently set off the alarm in her building. The lady tells her that a unit is in route but she will inform them. Amy sits on the back landing of her office and watches the patrol call pull up and explains to the nice (cute) officers (who were both in her office last week for computer help) how she thought she knew her alarm code...just call her Amy the Red-Faced.

This Weekend I will be trying to refrain from police encounters. I will be guest-posting again at Pete's. Infact, here is my first post, insignifigant as it may be.

PS I am thirty and will whine about being suddenly old...whether or not I get bitchslapped by BentGuy.

Customer of the Year?

I am customer of the year at cdbaby. How do I know? I got this email:

Your CD has been gently taken from our CD Baby shelves with
sterilized contamination-free gloves and placed onto a satin pillow.

A team of 50 employees inspected your CD and polished it to make sure
it was in the best possible condition before mailing.

Our packing specialist from Japan lit a candle and a hush fell over
the crowd as he put your CD into the finest gold-lined box that money
can buy.

We all had a wonderful celebration afterwards and the whole party
marched down the street to the post office where the entire town of
Portland waved 'Bon Voyage!' to your package, on its way to you, in
our private CD Baby jet on this day, Thursday, February 26th.

I hope you had a wonderful time shopping at CD Baby. We sure did. Your picture is on our wall as 'Customer of the Year'. We're all
exhausted but can't wait for you to come back to CDBABY.COM!!

Thank you once again,

Derek Sivers, president, CD Baby
the little CD store with the best new independent music

Question for the masses (THAT MEANS YOU)

How do you know when your spark plugs need to be changed?

Just call me...mechanically inept.

And Now A Word From The Beagle

I am beagle...you will love me. Any adoration or love can be sent using the comments below.

PS. (from AMY): This is ROXY in her "begging for food" pose. THIS one was shot with my new digicam. Not bad for someone who still hasn't read the manual.

Evil Children Down The Street

I am convinced that the little girls down the streets are the devil's spawn.

Why? Because today the came up to my door with their Radio Flyer filled with cookies and gave me the three boxes of cookies (Samoas, Tagalongs, and Do-Si-Does)...where as they demanded $10.50 and left the three boxes of tempting cookies...who sit right now and mock me from my bookcase to eat them...and I am trying to resist...but they are telling me: Resistance is futile!

Hmph.
