Part of my list accomplished

The hairs have been cut...
The oil has been changed...

I also got to wait half a day for the directtv man to come to the house and fix the dish so that I can get local stations next month.

I forgot to add to my list to clean out Doc Ricketts fish tank...

Fridays Near Easter Are Better

I have consumed one Butterfinger Egg

and

One Chocolate Covered Marshmallow Bunny

And revelled in every minute of it...

Of course now I am bouncing of the walls...

Fridays Are Good Days

Fridays are nearly always good days. For many (not all) it is the end of the work week (for yours truely it is) and a signal that it is time to relax a bit. Even if you are participating in the Rude Cactus Friday Experiment...you are still probably having a good day.

SO WHAT ARE YOUR WEEKEND PLANS? I HAVE TO/HOPE TO:

Get an oil change.

Get a haircut (make that all my hairs cut).

Guest posting at Pete's...(my first entry is about Severed Thumb Salad). It is so cool to know someone trusts me with this task. (Update: Add What Constitutes Sexual Harassment? and FIRE! FIRE IN THE CPU!!! to the list of completed Encyclopeteia posts).

Make A Packing List (for my trip next weekend...you know you will miss me.but fear not..I will only be gone from Friday-Monday).

Work on Various craftypants projects as time permits.

And to look forward to next week?

MONDAY: Work and giving two training sessions...begrudgingly...why does my boss always pick me?

TUESDAY: Phone meeting with my financial advisor to go over my "action plan" and get the ball rolling on actually implementing it.

WEDNESDAY: Work

THURSDAY: Work and pack

FRIDAY: Leave...

Survivor

For the second time this season and the third time in the eight-season history of Survivor a tribe member has walked away from the game of their own accord. Susan Hawk left the show on Thursday's episode after an incident with a rival tribe's member. In an immunity challenge, Susan Hawks was rubbed against by a (naked) Richard Hatch. She continued on with the challenge...but the incident weighted (understandably) hard on after the Chapera tribe won immunity.

At the next reward challenge Susan, after ruminating on the previous challenges events, requested to leave the game, telling host Jeff Probst she was humilliated and no longer had the passion to continue on with the game.

What was disheartening to me...was the lack of compassion of the men on Chapera, specifically Rupert and Big Tom, of Susan's feeling of violation and humilation. You really can't understand how someone will react to something like that. As someone who has been there...kinda...I can see where she is coming from- although my initial reaction was not necessarily the same. I really wanted to see CBS EARLY MORNING to see the interview with Susan Hatch after ordeal. Unfortunately I couldn't, but I did check out their website and was glad to see that Susan and Richard have talked about the incident and are well on their way to putting it behind them:

CBS News | Hawk And Hatch: Getting Past It | March 5, 2004 10:11:50

My favorite quote from the above article is:

As for Hatch, he said, "We have a perspective of Sue Hawk as, you know, super tough… And I learned something: You know, she's a sensitive person. And afterwards, it really, really, got to her. It just started to really, really, get to her. It was emotional."

ABC's Kingdom Hospital---I won't be watching

Ok so I sat down and watched most of the first episode of Kingdom Hospital. And...I have to say...mostly it sucks on ice.

The first hour was the cathartic runner(artist)-hit-by-the-van scene. That part was interesting in a painful, main laying in the road nearly dying sort of way. The rest of it was just ridiculous...and I am not going to waste my time.

Just call me...Little Miss CraftyPants

I have become a crafting whore. I have been crocheting up a storm (despite a possible allergy to the yarn I am currently using).

I have been doing a paint-by-numbers kit that was very ambitious...as it is complicated...and I don't know how to paint.

I have several "paper" craft projects lined up in my head (these will- if all things go as planned- become gifts).

and...now...I am thinking about taking up quilting.

Yikes...am I crazy or what?

It's Wrong

Something is wrong. It is far too quiet here at work....
so quiet it is scaring me.

What is wrong with all my problematic users?

CALL ME DAMN IT! EMAIL ME! Make me feel important. I feel as if I am rotting away here.

Am I the only one?

I am looking forward to watching ABC.com: Kingdom Hospital because I want to see if Stephen King still has it.

Just adding my 2% worth to the Internet

I found this article on CNN.com - Study: Very few bloggers on Net.. It says that only 2-7% of internet users blog and only 10% of them update it daily, because "For most bloggers, it's not an all-consuming, all-the-time kind of experience."

Well...I blog on a fairly consistant level....and I don't find it all-consuming.

Might just be me though.

It is an interesting article though. Read it.

Average Joes

I tell you that I couldn't have said it better than Pete Said it:

First off, I was rooting for the average joe and I think she should've picked him. But I do understand her point about not wanting to get involved when there's such a disparity of feeling -- he was head over heels and she wasn't quite there, so it's almost reasonable.

I will say, though, that seeing wanna-be-actor-boy ditch her on account of Fabio was HILARIOUS.
---Encyclopeteia.

I wholeheartly agree with Pete!!!

Now...Adam's coming back...but I want Brian to come back.

Granted I didn't see Mystic River...I still think that Johnny Depp should have won best actor...just because.
